Chocolate Trifle

Hi Friends,
I love cooking and have been experimenting with different desserts lately.Below is the recipe for a a easy and quick trifle that I promise kids and grown ups will love without doubt.Enjoy!



Prep time- 10 mins
Serves- 20

Ingredients:
Whipped cream- 1 big tin
Large chocolate muffins- 6. You can also use brownies instead
Chocolate pudding- 4 cups
Any grated milk chocolate- 2 tblspn

Method of preparation:
Arrange the mini dessert cups in the pattern of your choice.Layer the cups with muffins cut into bit size pieces.
Top it with chocolate pudding.
Add the final layer of whipped cream and top it with grated chocolate.
Yummy and delicious trifles are ready to eat  That was quick, isn't it.

Kale Rice

Hi Friends,
 Kale Rice is one of the easiest and most flavorful rice dishes that is always popular with both grown ups and kids alike. The fluffy rice along with the slight flavor of Kale makes it an absolute must try for many occasions.

Cooking time : 20 mins
Prep time- 5 mins

Ingredients:
Chopped Kale- 3 cups
Chopped carrots- 1 cup
Basmati Rice- 3 cups
Water- 6 cups
Garlic chopped- 1 tspn
Turmeric powder- a pinch
Red Chilli powder- 1 tspn
Cumin seeds - 1 tspn
Cloves- 5
Coriander leaves- 2 tblspn chopped
Salt to taste
Ghee- 3 tblspn

Method of Preparation:
Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds to it.When they splutter add garlic,cloves, turmeric powder and chilli powder. Saute for 2 mins and add the chopped kale and carrots. Cook for 5 mins and set aside.
In the same pan/pot, add basmati rice and cook in the regular method by adding salt and water. When the rice is half way through add the cooked kale and carrot mix and saute well.Cook till all the water is absorbed and the rice becomes fluffy. Garnish with some coriander leaves.
Serve with Raita and pickle or your favourite curry dish. I loved it with mutton stew.

Butter Chicken

Hi Friends,
Over the years, I have tried many butter chicken recipes to find that one perfect recipe that I will not have to modify anymore. My search has come to an end with this mouth watering and flavorful recipe. The creamy texture and the silky smooth look will definitely leave our guests drooling. Any restaurant we go to , one must to have dish is always butter chicken . I am glad I have the perfect recipe now, but that will not stop me from ordering it every time we eat out:)


Cooking time- 30 mins
Serves- 4

Ingredients:
Boneless chicken- 2lb- cut into small cubes
Butter- half cup
Onions- 1 finely chopped
Tomatoes- 2 finely chopped
Red chilli powder- 1 tspn
Garam masala powder- 1 tspn
Sugar-1/2 tspn
Kasoori methi- 1 tspn
Garlic paste- 1 tspn
Ginger paste- 1 tspn
Cashews- 3 tblspn(grind into a smooth paste)
Cream- 3 tblspn
Tomato Ketchup- 1 tblspn
Coriander leaves- 1 tblspn chopped
Salt to taste

Method of Preparation:
Marinate the chicken pieces with red chilli powder, garam masala powder half of ginger garlic paste and salt and keep aside for 30 mins.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken pieces and keep aside.
In the same pan, add some butter and onion and saute for 5 mins.Add tomatoes, grinded cashew paste, ginger garlic paste and 1/2 cup water and simmer for 15 mins with the lid closed.
Once the mix is simmered, let it cool and then blend into a fine paste. I used the regular juice blender.
Now add this finely mixed paste into the pan and heat it. Add the chicken pieces, cream, ketchup, butter and kasoori methi and sugar and cook for 5 mins.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with Naan or Rice.
